This City is what it is because our citizens are what they are.
I first came to Buffalo in 1995, scared, young, and inexperienced. I only spent a semester at The Buffalo State College before returning to Duchess County outside of NY, then off to the University of Arizona before completing my undergraduate degree at The University at Buffalo. I had a professor- Dr. Otterbein teaching us the "Anthropology of War"- who regaled us with stories, one of which was how he met his wife at U Penn; and from that point forward I had a romantic notion of doing the same.
I met Valerie, my wife of 11 years, while studying Ansel Adam’s famous "Zone System” and the rest as they say is history. She is born and raised here and I now have been a resident of various parts of Buffalo for 20 years or so. It is an extraordinary time to be here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!
The food, the people and the architecture; the art, the culture and the weather! Yes… I even like the weather!
